Wednesday, 30 November 2022
Three Westlake alumni competed at this year's Commonwealth Games in Birmingham – Moira Koster (2007), Anona Pak (2011), and Tiarna Clarke (2016).
Congratulations to all 3 on their achievements and particularly to Moira Koster (de Villiers) who won a bronze medal.
Moira competed in the U78kg Judo event and this was her 2nd Commonwealth Medal – she won a silver in the Glasgow Games in 2014. She also competed in the London Olympics in 2012.

It was the debut Commonwealth Games for Anona Pak (2011), who competed in the mixed doubles alongside Oliver Leydon-Davis. The pair had placed second in the 2022 Oceania championships.

Tiarna Clarke competed in the 3 X 3 basketball event. She plays in the national women's basketball league for the Whai team. Earlier this year she broke the record for most 3 pointers made by a woman in the professional basketball game.
